Lego DC Supervillains: Let’s start by showing y’all the trailers shall we?

If y’all aren’t realizing a theme here, we are reviewing more Batman-related games because I just like both Batman and DC. Then we will post the soundtrack and share my favorite soundtrack from this soundtrack.

Aldo this game has a banger of an opening menu.

How fitting the song that’s playing is called “Joker”.

So what’s the plot rundown? One night in Arkham Lex is asked to ID this new criminal (this criminal is a custom character u get to create) yes this is the first game u get to create a character and that custom character is integral to the main story.

But Lex has a plan to escape, his men help break them out, throughout this game ur main custom character can unlock new abilities/powers.

Anyways, Batman and the League are trying to get the criminals back in prison and stop Joker and Harley from casting havoc.

Side note I forgot to bring up but in these Lego games ever since Lego Batman 2, Batman has been voiced by Kevin Conroy, and Joker has been voiced by Mark Hamil, yes just like in the Arkham games.

Anyways just then these random heroes called The Crime Syndicate, essentially, they are the mirrored version of the Justice League.

Opps spoilers yeah I just spoiled they are villains, they come down and pretend to be heroes but Harley oversees the gang and teleport the justice league away.

So now it’s up to Harley and the bad guys to investigate what happened to the Justice League and who are these criminal syndicates?

Will our main custom character become a bad guy or a good guy? Because he’s mixed in between on who to join.

All will be revealed in the spoilers, but for now, let’s talk about some elements from the open world in this game then we will get the rating out of the way.

So u have a big map, each area is connected btw so u can drive or fly to each location.

The only downside to this map is that u can’t swim underwater yet DC has Atlantis. This is a massive downgrade when in the previous Lego game Lego Marvel Superheroes 2, you could swim underwater.

But what is a massive upgrade is the character customization, u can customize ur character down to the

Outfit

Weapons

Cape

So now it’s time to get the rating out of the way, overall this my friend’s is my favorite recent Lego game, yes I know the Skywalker Saga was the recent Lego game but I don’t like that game nor do I count it as a Lego game.

There is one issue I have with this game and it’s an issue I had with Lego Marvel Superheroes 2, they introduced this new puzzle to these 2 Lego games which frustrated me.

They were jigsaw puzzles, I hate those puzzles in real life, trying to move different pieces into a specific order in a small square for it to make a full picture. Yeah, those always frustrated me.

So the fact that th3se 2 Lego games were added that did frustrate me, and keep in mind those were in the open world segments, so if u wanted to get 100% u had to do those puzzles which gave u Gold Bricks.

But this one is worth playing, it has everything u like from a Lego game, plus the game has multiple DLC packs. Some from the movies, 2 from the shows, and 1 based on the classic animated Batman series.

I recommend getting that pack because it gives u Man-Bat as a playable character and the classic Two-Face from the animated series.

Heck, the game has a Shazam pack, it’s one of my favorites because it had the whole Shazam family, side note I need to mention I wasn’t a fan of how they released the DLC packs.

They had a gimic where where split the DLC pack into 2 parts and released the 2nd half about a month after the first part was released.

Like if I’m spending money for the whole DLC I’d like to have the whole DLC, not half of it. But now since everything is said and done and the game has been finished for a while. I recommend buying all the DLC packs, they also come with missions.

They put effort into these DLC packs unlike a certain Lego game (looking at u Lego Skywalker Saga), also every character in this game including your custom character can take out a phone and take a selfie.

So they took that ability from Lego Marvel Superheroes 2 and improved it.

So overall I’ll give Lego DC Supervillains a solid 9/10, warning spoilers ahead y’all been warned ⚠️.

Time to spoil the 3rd act and any revelations, so it turns out The Criminal Syndicate is evil and they are working for Darkseid. Yeah shocker, but they do rescue the Justice League and must now work together to stop Darkseid and his evil plans.

So they head to his planet to stop him via teleportation, they get to his planet and have to fight against this enlarged Darkseid while he summons his goons to attack them.

Anyways u eventually defeat Darkseid, u go back to earth where Lex and the gang are trying to be the rulers. But the heroes show up and stop them.

Now your custom character has the choice to join the villains or heroes, I chose villains because why not?
