Patrick Star Game: Let’s start off with showing y’all the trailers shall?

Oh y’all are in for a treat with this game. That’s right Patrick Star has his own video game now.

Why? Who the heck knows, but I will say this for certain. I 100% prefer this game over that Patrick Star show. Lord all mighty that show is absolutely abysmal (review on that show soon don’t worry).

So what is the plot? There is no plot to this game, yeah it’s an open-world sandbox game, with emphasis on the word “Sandbox”. So let’s get the rating out of the way so we can just quickly discuss what kinda game this is.

Overall I absolutely love this game it just loads of fun. I also forgot to mention that this game is Janky and broken on purpose, they wanted to make it feel as chaotic as Patrick is.

I mean for instance if u clip through the map and fall through it u will get an achievement just for doing that, and u will have finished a quest. Yeah, it’s one of those types of games.

People have been describing this game as The Goat Simulator or Spongebob Squarepants games, but they aren’t wrong. That’s a great way of describing it. Both games are janky and broken on purpose.

I’ll say the only downside is they for some reason couldn’t bring back the French Narrator, so every time u load into the game u don’t hear him, all u see are those 4th wall breaking title cards, it’s a shame really but hey I don’t mind it either. I’ll share images here of the different funny opening card titles that do appear when u load in each time.

Plz go check this game out for yourself, it is a bit pricy though. The price is at $40, maybe it’s not worth that full price, wait till it goes on sale. So overall I’ll give The Patrick Star Game a solid 9/10.

So if anyone is curious why I didn’t say warning spoilers ahead, it’s because there’s non to give. This game has no story. The story if u can call it that is well Patrick Star wakes up, the end. And the rest of the game u will find urself exploring Tge Bikini Bottom.

Spongebob

Ms. Puff

Squidward

Sandy Cheeks

Oh also all the original voice actors returned to reprise their roles in this game.

I will say this the missions can and will get repetitive, they range between.

Hey Patrick find (10 then 15 then 30) of a specific item and bring it back to me.

Help me (Spongebob Squarepants) destroy these golden crates with ur coconut launcher.

Hey, help at Chum Bucket.

Hey help at Krusty Krab (btw that mission is downright annoying)

Basically, it’s these minigames that have a timer, in the timer u have to give the correct food type to a customer. The issue with the Krusty Krab one is that u have to cook the burger, then put it together manually then give it to the customer and u have to get to 1500xp to get all 3 stars, in the span of 2 and a half min.

But the time goes up a bit when u feed the correct food to the customer, but if that isn’t bad enough for some reason the Krusty Krab minigame only gives u up to 15 to 20 to 30 XP when u give food to the customer. So it’s a whole lot slower to get to 1500xp.

All the while u have to rush and not run out of time, yeah I hate this mission I couldn’t get 3 stars.

Oh and there’s one more mission type, Hey come do racing.

Hey come do skydiving through XP rings to get XP to pass.

Now what do all these get u? Easy sand dollars. What’s that? Their currency, depends on the amount of sand dollars u get. U will unlock a new costume each progression.

Also, there are these mayo jars in each area to collect, if u collect all of them in an area u get sand dollars. U can get sand dollars by finding the mayo Jars in each area. Or u can get sand dollars from doing the quests.

U can get sand dollars also from doing some mundane things such as for example shooting a basketball into a basketball hoop, or my favorite grab a jellyfish and dunking yourself and the jellyfish into the basketball hoop.

Also, there’s a side object (all these are all side objectives btw), where Squidward has opened up an art school and u go and beat him at different art tasks. Because Squidward sucks I guess, even though his art is fabulous. I guess the Bikini Bottom doesn’t understand talent.

Anyways there’s a canvas where u can draw whatever and I do mean whatever, heck u can take a paint tube and go around and paint buildings. Yep, that is a thing, heck I paint the entire town of The Bikini Bottom pink.

Hehehwheh, heck I painted Squidward’s house green, Patrick’s house pink, and Spongebobs house orange. I’ll share images here of my artwork.

Oh, I also forgot to mention the citizens have this ragdoll effect where just bumping into them they will fall over and squirm, heck u can ride cars into them, or shove them with a medium-sized brush.

Or suck them in and blow them out with a leaf blower, I love this game it’s just absurdity unleashed.

Also yes there are some references in this game die-hard Spongebob fans will understand, btw there is a sorta end goal to this game. Once u get 999 sand dollars u can attend the Fry Cook Games (raise ur hand if u got the reference).

Anyways after u complete the game u will get end credits but afterward, u get to still play in the open-world sandbox so there is no end to this game. I do highly recommend checking out this game, it’s loads of fun. Anyway hope y’all enjoyed this review.
