Lego Indiana Jones The Original Adventure: Let’s start by showing y’all the trailers shall we?
Yes, finally time to talk about this classic gem…..I’m so excited to finally talk about this game, but first the rating….
Overall I freaking love this game, this game makes u feel like ur Indiana Jones himself…..this is such a fun Lego game and a fun Indiana Jones game…..so overall I’ll give this game a solid 10/10..
Ok from here on out warning ⚠️ spoilers ahead y’all been warned….
So in this game, u get to play as Indiana Jones of course, but also since this is a Lego game there’s always the second player as well….so each level pairs u up with a titular character that existed in each scene of the film…which is creative….they didn’t decide to add a random second player, unlike the second game which we will get to later…
Also in this game, u get to play through the first 3 movies
Indiana Jones and The Raiders of The Lost Ark
Indiana Jones and The Temple of Doom
Indiana Jones and The Last Crusade
I’m sorry I can’t hold my excitement in, this game I cannot stress enough is so much fun…..I gotta admit it I think hands down this Lego game had the most creative way of hiding the Minikits….so y’all know what the minikits are right? Well in case some y’all don’t know, the mini mini-kits are these objects u can collect at each level…
There are 10 of them each in the levels, most of them u will have to come back in free play to unlock once u unlock a specific character that will be needed to get said brick….anyways here in this game the mini-kits been changed out for golden chests…..the way the devs hid these chests are creative u have to do some archeology-type thinking…
Sometimes the chests will be buried u will have to use a shovel, sometimes u have to get to a specific height area u can’t access in story mode, sometimes u have to dig up and destroy a certain amount of objects to get the chest….
As I said creative, also there are simple puzzles to do in this game such as playing as a character who has a book that can do the puzzle picture selection…. it is this 3 by 9 grid of bricks with different symbols on them….a specific row of them light up in a specific order and u have to click on the specific order those specific tiles so u can open the specific thing or access a door….
See all this really makes u feel like an archeologist…..also if anyone wondering does this Lego game which is aimed at kids, can keep most of the tone of the films?
Well, I’m glad to say yes, they don’t tone things down all the way (unlike a recent Lego game which we won’t mention its name).
BTW I’ll post a link to the full soundtrack of this game right here…
So now I want to mention my favorite levels, and talk about my experience with them….
My first favorite level is the Ark, where we find ourselves in the secret chambers of the Well of Souls….that level I can find myself replaying over and over again, I just love the authentic vibes/feels of a secret hidden Egyptian-themed underground place….I’ve always been a fan of ancient Egypt…..
Also, the gameplay is fun, u have to play as Sallah at moments to grab a torch and place it on a pile of wood near snakes so Indiana can cross because remember he’s afraid of snakes….he will not get near them…..eventually they find the Ark, the Nazis take it from them then they toss in Marion….now u both have to escape….
BTW the second favorite level I wanna talk about is the Venice Italy level in the 3rd film…..this level is my favorite, this so far is the closest I’ll be getting to go visit Italy…..that’s a sad statement in itself…….I think this game gets a lot of things pretty accurately….
Now let’s talk about the bonus stuff In this game, of course like in every Lego game u have ur red bricks to collect and then ur gold bricks…but this time gold bricks are now treasure chests…also I’ll share with y’all the entire cutscene movie for this entire game…
I think y’all will enjoy it. Especially if some y’all already played this game and want that nostalgic feeling….anyways before I close off I do wanna mention the bonus mission…..in this game, the bonus mission so happens to be the story level of that opening scene in Last Crusade where we see young Indiana Jones in his scout days….
We get to run across the top of the train away from the villains, just like in the movie…this entire segment of fun, hell after playing the mission u unlock young Indy and his friend, along with the villains….
Also lastly forgot to mention, the hub world is simple but it’s my favorite…..it’s the inside of university that he teaches at, I highly recommend this game….it’s well worth it’s $10….especially if u have an Xbox….plz go buy it, this game is a fun Lego game…but overall a great Indiana Jones game….I hope yall enjoy this reveiw…
