Lego Indiana Jones The Adventure Continues

Lego Indiana Jones The Adventure Continues: Let’s start by showing y’all the trailers shall we?

Oh boy this game, it’s finally time to talk about this train wreck of a dumpster fire…

But first, let’s get the rating out of the way…overall I’ll say I hate this game….like a lot, this was such a massive downgrade from the first game and I’ll get into the issues I have with this game…..we will be here for a while….

So overall uhhh 3/10….ok from here on out warning ⚠️ spoilers ahead y’all have been warned….

Oh boy where to even begin with this one, well firstly in this game u get to play through the first 4 Indiana Jones movies…

Indiana Jones and The Raiders of The Lost Ark

Indiana Jones and The Temple of Doom

Indiana Jones and The Last Crusade

Indiana Jones and The Kingdom of The Crystal Skull

But how do I say this, the way this game takes its approach is where it all F**ks up….for instance the game has u start with playing Kingdom of The Crystal Skull for no particular reason….

Then after u complete the 4th one the first 3 movie stories become available for u to play….now how do the level systems work? Well, the main hub is in a warehouse and some crates contain each story of the films…notice how I didn’t say 4 crates….that’s because for some reason the 4th film story has 3 crates…

In each crate, u go to a specific location to complete specific movie levels…..Each crate also has an open-world hub for u to explore and collect objects, and buy characters that are just roaming around….

Oh boy, let’s talk about the open world….I hate the open-world hubs in this game, where credit is credit due….they tried to give us open-world hubs which is a step in the right direction….too bad they fumbled everything about it….

Now it’s time to talk about the way they fumbled this game up…..this is the element that pisses me off including most of the fan bases…..

Actually scratch that there’s many issues with this game so take a seat because we’re gonna go through them

The boss fights

The vehicle segments

The beat them ups

The levels only consist of 1 room and a vehicle segment sometimes

The bird’s eye view gets annoying eventually

The amount of inaccuracy in the levels

Lastly, the cutscenes

Oh boy ok let’s start off talking about the boss fights and the cutscenes together those will go together…..well the cutscenes are as inaccurate as possible that u will get with an Indiana Jones adaptation…

Like for example, in the first mission in the 4th film when Mac turns on u, and since this game is a 2-player game the developers decide to team up Indy with a random janitor…..ahhhh yes, remember that time when Indy teamed up with a janitor? What’s that no? Well, it’s because it never happened! This game decides to pull random things out of nowhere…

Also the second example, the first cutscene of the Indiana Jones 1 movie starts with Indy returning to the museum where he hands the Golden Idol to Marcus….hmmmmm I definitely don’t remember that happening in the movie, I don’t remember him making off with the idol…..

If u think that’s bad enough, there’s a cutscene in the 2nd movie level that is just insulting….so Indiana Jones gets to the Indian village where they ask for help for Indy to get back the 3 rocks from these 3 monkeys who stole them…

Ok, there are already 2 problems off the bat here…

1.  Last I remembered the village only had 1 stone note 3..

2. I don’t remember monkeys stealing the rocks, must have been a crucial part of the story….oh wait a minute it didn’t happen…

So anyways after u wrangle the 3 rocks back from the monkeys and place them back on their pedestal…just for Mola Ram and the young Indian prince to come steel all 3 of the eggs…I mean rocks, then catapult themselves off the top of a tree all the way toward the castle…

Physics!!! What’s that? Also again I don’t remember Mola Ram appearing in the town to steal the rocks and then yeet himself off a tree towards the castle……talk about taking liberties!!

Now we have to talk about the elephant in the room, oh yes that elephant…..it’s time to talk about the boss fights….

Oh boy the boss fights, well I can safely say if the cutscenes weren’t inaccurate enough already, well now we have the boss fights….and they are a doozy….

So all the boss fights end with a giant monster fight….hmm that’s funny I don’t remember there being giant monster fights in Indiana Jones films….here let me break them down

Raiders of The Lost Ark: the Nazis open the Ark up, which then a disco ball comes floating out of it? Then the Nazis including Belloq start dancing….including Major Toht….uh huh, oh yes that scene from the movie…remember when the Nazis broke out into choreographed dancing like this is some sorta dance rehearsal? No? Well, neither do I!!

Then Belloq gets turned into a giant electric monster “Don’t u know, I’m electro”….so then Indiana Jones beats up a giant electric demon, then Indiana Jones and Marion escape…..well clearly they’re playing very loose with the lore….

Temple of Doom: so in the ending fight Mola Ram brings to life the giant statue which he rides it on top of its head…..uhhhhhu, then they lure the monster into the lava pit via by tossing a chick leg into the pit….uhhhhhhhh?

Then the gang run out the cult cave, across the bridge where Mola Ram somehow shows up frightened…then he summons the giant monster who’s about to consume the chicken leg….u laughing yet? Do u find this funny? Laughhhhh!!!

Oh, what’s that? It’s not funny? Ur not wrong…also the Temple of Doom story ends on the same giant elephant that got catapulted at the beginning of the game off a tree, coming back down and slamming on the gang…..uhhhh, but the game ends on a freeze frame of the gang running away from being squashed by the same elephant…no I wish I kidding when I said that….no this isn’t a joke…I wish it was…

The Last Crusade: so in the final boss fight, of course to anyone’s shock, Donovan drinks from the wrong grail, which here doesn’t kill him…no it instead turns him into a giant tornado monster, ok I’m getting sick and tired of these boss fights ending with them becoming a giant monster….especially since that’s not a thing that happened in the films…

I prefer the way the boss fights were handled in the previous game….anyways so u have to shoot these metal containers he lists up by shooting it with bazookas…..because that’s what happened in the movies I guess, lolo….

Anyway game story ends with Indy and Sallah making it out, just to see Indy’s dad and Elsa playing golf….then all 4 of them ride off….once again huh? Elsa never survived, also Indy’s dad should be injured….u know what I give up comparing….let’s go into the last film….

Kingdom of The Crystal Skull: so this game has 2 monster fights……so let’s start with the first monster fight….

The first one is u having to fight that right-hand Russian guy, around the swarms of ants…..except guess what happens this time….he turns into a giant monster via the ants covering him up…..yeah I’m done comparing we’re so far from reality in this game…….

Anyway, the last boss fight is against Spalco….where she gets knowledge from the alien, then she turns into (say it with me everyone), into a giant monster….what kind of monster does she turn into? Easy an energy beam monster…..what’s this? The elemental monster forms? I’m just waiting for there to be a giant water monster then I think the elements will be complete….

Yeah if y’all can’t tell I really don’t like this game. From its weird take of making the villains into giant CGI monsters, to the cutscenes being inaccurate to the films….and the semi horrendous bird eye view of the maps, oh and the levels sucking…..the levels really just consist of killing a specific group of enemies in a confined area, cutscene happens and go to next area on foot…..

Also, the vehicle missions are abysmal, the controls for the vehicles are pretty much the equivalent of u trying to ice skate but ur no expert at it so all u do is slip and slide constantly….yeah that’s the level of controls we are talking about for the vehicles…u just constantly slide, flip and run into things….

Overall this game just feels like an insult to Indiana Jones fans, including Lego fans….

This game feels shorter somehow than the last game….yet this game has 4 movies in it, so take that as u will….guys, I cannot recommend this game plz skip this game it ain’t worth the $10…..I hope u enjoyed this reveiw…
